THE COMPANY

Your association with The Bridge will probably go on long after you graduate. The Bridge provides a drama school training, but it is more than simply a drama school. We see actor training as a long-term process. All actors continue to train while they work and graduating students have opportunities for this through employment in The Bridge's professional company - both in productions and in the educational programmes we provide.

Artistically, The Bridge is concerned to break down barriers between different kinds of theatre and to encourage audiences to look at theatre in a new way. We believe in combining the approaches of physical and text-based theatre in relation to both modern and classical plays. In reinterpreting classics we rehearse them as we would the work of living playwrights - treating the actor's contribution as the centre of the production.
