AuditionsAuditions for September 2010 entryA few places still available for entry Sept 2010Please contact Alex on 020 7424 0860 to book an audition.Auditions for September 2011 entry
The audition is held in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Our past students have told us how much they enjoyed their audition day and how valuable the experience was. There is always a positive element to the outcome of the audition - either selection for the course or guidance on other options that will be open to you. Part 1 - Individual auditionWe ask you to learn and perform two speeches of 2-3 minutes. All speeches must be from published plays. The speeches should contrast in terms of the emotions involved. Choose characters you would like to play on stage and read the whole play. (NOTE: you may perform speeches from Shakespeare if you would like to, but there is no automatic requirement to do so). Treat the audition as a rehearsal. Don't feel that you won't be selected unless you give a perfect performance. We're looking for imagination and promise - not perfection at this stage. Try to relax and enjoy your time with us. Please bring copies of your speeches with you to the audition. Part 2 - Group WorkshopActing games, exercises and improvisations. No preparation is necessary for this part of the audition. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and trainers or flat shoes. Part 3 - InterviewA chance for us to discover your interests and talents and for you to ask us more about the course. We not only offer a practical, professional acting training but also a comprehensive approach to gaining employment in the industry and long term support for actors after they leave the course. |
