TWO YEAR PROFESSIONAL ACTING COURSE
A two year intensive training for a professional acting career. The minimum age is 18 and there is no upper age limit.
ONE YEAR POSTGRADUATE/POST EXPERIENCE PROFESSIONAL ACTING COURSE
An intensive, condensed course for graduates of any discipline or those with some acting experience. The minimum age is 21 and there is no upper age limit.
Postgraduate students begin individual programmes relating to their needs in voice, movement and auditioning, as well as career-related studies, at an early stage in the course.
Both acting courses include comprehensive career guidance and opportunities to show your work to agents and casting directors through a season of productions and an end of term showcase in London’s West End.
If you are wondering which course will provide the best training for you as an actor please note that the end result of both our acting courses is the same – you will receive full professional acting training, a high quality showreel, theatre acting credits for your CV, a West End showcase, stage combat certification, and a professional acting diploma. The main difference is how much training you receive. Doing two years rather than one means you will receive more lessons and appear in more shows. If you are younger or less experienced then it is likely that you need two full years of training. More experienced students are generally better suited to the one year course.
The application process is the same for both acting courses. If you are unsure which course to apply for, just audition as normal and we will recommend the most suitable course for you if we make a place offer. This is based on how much training we think you’ll need before being industry ready. We need to ensure that all our graduates are up to a standard as it’s our name they’re representing once out in the industry.

Thinking about training to be an actor? Here are some questions that people often ask.
If you’re thinking about becoming an actor in training then you’ll want to know what you’re getting yourself into. Acting training is different to other kinds of education as actors need to learn a very specific and unique set of skills and get certain experience. So what kind of training do actors need? An acting course consists of a variety of classes and subjects that each cover a specific area of acting. Acting classes are arguably the most important but there will also be classes to improve your voice technique, improvisation skills, movement and physical theatre abilities. There will also be theatre shows for you to perform in so you’ll experience the production process from start to finish including auditioning, casting, rehearsing, and performing.
The primary and obvious benefits of theatre training is that you learn a multitude of acting skills, gain invaluable theatre experience, and become the best actor you can be. But there are also more general benefits that spill over into the non-drama part of your life. Theatre training can help you develop better communication skills – both verbal and non-verbal. It can boost your confidence and help you with nerves around public speaking. You’ll improve your listening skills, voice projection, self-discipline, and learn how to work both in a team and on your own. Ultimately though your main takeaway will be learning what it takes to be a professional actor and all the etiquettes and expertise that come with it.
A typical acting class is group based so will feature a lot of group work. You’ll often be paired up to rehearse and practice scenes. Acting classes will also consist of the tutor working with individuals on their monologues while others observe. The advice and tips that other actors in the class receive may very well apply to you too so it’s important to always be listening and making notes. Your tutor will monitor your progress over each class and discuss any patterns or habits you have, where you can improve, and what you have achieved so far. This format won’t just apply to acting classes but also improvisation classes, movement classes, dance classes, etc.
Yes but it will take longer to get to a professional standard. Professional actors are expected to have a wealth of acting knowledge and experience that brings them up to a sufficient level. Casting directors may even decide not to invite you to audition if they see on your CV that you haven’t received any kind of acting training. An acting course will give you hands-on drama experience which is something that’s hard to get when you’re an untrained low-level actor. You can get to the required standard without training but it will take longer. So if you want to hone your acting skills quickly and get to work building a successful acting career, you’d better start your acting training sooner rather than later. Don’t let yourself miss out on any potential roles!
The vast majority of acting graduates would say yes to this. You will be amazed just how much you can learn and improve in a relatively short time. The skills and experience you pick up will be essential when you go out into the acting industry. Trying to go out and audition without this expertise would be an unwise move. Also remember that studying acting is not just about the training but it is also a chance to meet like-minded people and make life-long friends. This is especially true if you’re just out of school and beginning to explore the world.
